- Lower % elongation values result in poor earthquake resistance of structure.
- Failure in bend test indicates brittleness which leads to more wastage.
- Higher % of Phosphorus reduces the ductility of bars making them prone to brittle failure & also makes it susceptible to corrosion
- Higher value of Sulphur in rebar reduces weldability & makes it prone to corrosion.
